OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma - The Northwest Missouri State University women's tennis team advanced to the semifinals of the 2019 MIAA Tournament with a 4-0 win over Emporia State University on Friday.

Third-seeded Northwest Missouri eliminated sixth-seeded Emporia State. The Bearcats won at No. 3 doubles and No. 2 doubles to earn the early point. Wins by Marta Ferrando (No. 3 singles), Julie Rinderknech (No. 5 singles) and Julia Aliseda (No. 4 singles.) pushed the Bearcats to victory. Aliseda clinched the match for Northwest with her victory.

Northwest advances to take on No. 2-seeded Central Oklahoma on Saturday at 2 p.m.
