MARYVILLE, Missouri - The Northwest Missouri State University softball team hit seven home runs in a doubleheader sweep of Southwest Baptist University at the Bearcat Softball Field.

Northwest ripped six home runs in the first game and posted a 9-7 win on a walk-off two-runs shot by Kaitlyn Weis. The six home runs are single-game Northwest record. The previous mark of five was set Feb. 25, 2006, vs. Central Missouri.

Northwest then notched a 5-1 triumph in the second contest.
