RUN THEM BACK
Northwest faces Central Missouri and Southwest Baptist again this week, this time on the road. The Bearcats fell short in both of their games last week but showed glimpses in both of their games. Against UCM they were down 17-2 and from that point on they outscored the Jennies. In that game
Kendey Eaton posted 37 points. This is the most points scored by an MIAA player in a single game this year so far. Against Southwest Baptist every quarter was within three points except the 17 point deficit in the third quarter. The Bearcats look to bounce back and play these teams well for all four quarters this time around.
LAST TIME OUT
Northwest fell to Southwest Baptist 73-54 at Bearcat Arena this Saturday. Northwest was down only one point at half, then allowed 30 points in the third quarter to lead toward the eventual 19 point loss. Poor shooting was another key factor in the loss for Northwest. They shot 36.7% from the field and only 11.8% from the three point line.
Kendey Eaton led the Bearcats with 20 points and
Mallory McConkey added 14.
Kaylani Maiava led the team with nine rebounds. They went 16-of-18 from the charity stripe, including 9-of-10 from Eaton. They outscored Southwest Baptist in the paint, 28-26.
LAND OF THE FREE THROW

Jaelyn Haggard,
Kaylani Maiava,
Kylie Coleman and
Mallory McConkey are all shooting over 80% as well.
