CONFERENCE OPENER
The Northwest Missouri State women's basketball team (4-3) will travel to Jefferson City, Missouri to take on the Lincoln Blue Tigers (1-6) in the first game of its MIAA slate. Then the Bearcats will go to Warrensburg, Mo. to take on the University of Central Missouri Jennies (4-3). The Jennies lost to No. 1 Drury by three points on Nov. 29.

Northwest has held opponents to 52.7 ppg in their first seven games. This is sixth in the country among teams who have played at least seven games. Opponents have shot only 36.1% from the field against the Bearcats.

The Bearcats are currently fourth in the country in free throw percentage at 82.1%. The Bearcats have six players shooting higher than 75% from the charity stripe.

OT THRILLER
The Northwest Missouri State Bearcats fell to the McKendree Bearcats 77-69 in OT in the MWSU Thanksgiving Classic. The Bearcats battled each other all game, in a game that featured seven lead changes and was tied seven times. Northwest led by two at half 28-26.
Mia Stillman made a free throw to tie the game at 66 and send it into OT. The two stats that haunted Northwest in this game were rebounds and fouls. They were out rebounded 46-26 which resulted in 13 second chance points for McKendree. Northwest committed 27 fouls as a team and had both
Paityn Rau and
Jayna Green foul out. McKendree attempted 38 free throws as a result of this, compared to Northwest's 11 attempts.
