Northwest Missouri State University head softball coach Ryan Anderson has announced his list of signees for the 2021 Bearcat softball team.
 
Avery Anderson is a utility player from Spring Hill, Kansas. She played shortstop and catcher at Spring Hill High School. She was a member of the Class 3A state runner-up squad in 2017. She went to state in three events – softball, track & field and tennis. She is a member of National Honor Society. She is the daughter of James and Jennifer Anderson.
 
Lela Bryant is a catcher from Troy, Missouri. Bryant earned all-district honors at Troy Buchanan High School for head coach Lance Richardson. Bryant hit .375 with a .444 on-base percentage and slugged .576 with 23 RBI as a prep. She is a three-time GAC all-academic award recipient.
She is the daughter of Matthew Bryant and Nichole Bryant.
 
Raven DeFrain is from Fairbury, Nebraska. She pitched and played first base at Fairbury High School for head coach Taylor Biehl. She helped Fairbury to the state title in the 2019-2020 season. She notched first-team all-state honors as a senior. DeFrain earned all-district and all-conference honors. She is an honor roll student. She is the daughter of Cory and Tina DeFrain.
 
Hayden Simmons is a pitcher from Kansas City, Missouri. She was a three-year varsity letterwinner at Liberty North High School for head coach Roger Lower. In 2019, she went 13-2 with 166 strikeouts and a 1.90 earned run average, while earning first-team all-state accolades. She batted .400 with five home runs as senior. She tallied all-state and all-district honors. She is the daughter of Jeremy Simmons and Michelle Simmons.
