TOPEKA, Kansas - The No. 4-ranked Washburn Ichabods posted a five-set win over the No. 14-ranked Northwest Missouri State Bearcats on Saturday at Lee Arena.
Washburn won by set scores of 25-20, 30-32, 25-18, 23-25 and 15-7. Washburn moves to 17-2 overall and 9-2 in MIAA play, while Northwest drops to 14-5 overall and 7-4 in league play.
Hallie Sidney notched a match-high 18 kills and added four blocks.
Rachel Sturdevant posted a double-double with 15 kills and 11 digs.
Bethany Elkins contributed with a team-best seven blocks.
Sophie McMullen notched a team-high 18 digs.
Maddy Ahrens had 47 assists and three service aces.
Washburn hit .240 for the match, while Northwest was limited to .167.
The Bearcats will be in action again Tuesday at Missouri Western in St. Joseph, Missouri.
