COMING HOME
The Northwest Missouri State University women's basketball team will come home to take on Pittsburg State and Missouri Southern at Bearcat Arena. Both teams are coming off two home losses to Emporia State and Washburn. Pittsburg State has been a very balanced team in conference play and has four players averaging double digit scoring in conference play. They are currently ranked fourth in the conference.Â
Missouri Southern is coming off four straight losses and is currently one spot behind Northwest for 10th in the MIAA, which is the final spot to qualify for the MIAA tournament. Missouri Southern has three players that average double digit scoring, including Chelsey Henry who is second in the MIAA in ppg with 16.7.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bearcats knocked down eight first-half three-pointers and trailed by only nine at the break, 49-40.
However, Fort Hays State opened the second half on an 18-0 run to take control of the contest. The Tigers moved to 18-1 overall and 9-1 in MIAA action.
Northwest knocked in 11 three-pointers in the contest and sank 14-of-16 at the free throw line.
Kendey Eaton led the way with 13 points and buried a trio of triples.

Mallory McConkey and
Kaylani Maiava each tallied 10 points in the defeat. McConkey grabbed a team-high six rebounds, while Eaton dished out a team-best four assists.
LAND OF THE FREE THROW
Northwest is leading the nation in free-throw percentage at 81.9 percent.
Kendey Eaton is shooting 95.3 percent from the stripe, she is 41-43 on the year.

Kaylani Maiava, and
Mallory McConkey are all shooting better than 80 percent from the line as well. Â
