- Northwest scored five runs in the second, four in the fourth, one in the fifth and sixth and two in the ninth inning. Missouri Western had two runs in the first, second and third, one in the fifth and two in the eighth inning.
- The Bearcats had 13 runs on 18 hits and three errors. The Griffons had nine runs on 15 hits with three errors.

Key Northwest Innings
- Hassman started the bottom of the second inning with a single to center field and quickly moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Handzlik. After another out, Schingel singled through the left side to score Hassman from second. Hussey followed Schingel with a single of his own to center field and moved Schingel to third. Rycraft continued the two out rally with a single to right field to score Schingel and Hussey to put the Bearcats in the lead. With Rycraft on second, Bilodeau singled through the right side to score Rycraft and Bilodeau moved to second on an error. Gutierrez hit a single to left to score Bilodeau and to conclude the scoring for the Bearcats.
- In the top of the fourth, Hussey drew a leadoff walk and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Rycraft. Bilodeau drew a one out walk and both runners advanced on a wild pitch. Gutierrez drew a walk and advanced to second on a wild pitch while Hussey and Bilodeau both scored. Figg doubled down the left field line to score Gutierrez and Hassman would bring in Figg with a single to left field to put the Bearcats up 9-6.
- Schingel and Hussey both hit back-to-back singles to start the fifth inning. After two outs, Gutierrez singled up the middle to score Schingel and give the Bearcats a 10-6 lead.
- The Bearcats would start the sixth inning with a lead-off single to right center by Hassman and Handzlik would walk to put two runners on.
Aaron Barratt laid down a sacrifice bunt to move both runners into scoring position. Hassman would then come in to score on a pass ball and to make the score 11-7.
- In the top of the ninth, Bilodeau leadoff with a double to right center and Figg was intentionally walked. Both runners advanced on a wild pitch and then came in to score on a single through the left side by Hassman to put the Cats up 13-9.
