The University of Nebraska-Kearney Lopers beat the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats 1-0 at Foster Field in Kearney. The match started with the temperature in the mid-50s and dropped into the mid-30s with gusty winds before it was over.

The Lopers scored their lone goal on an unassisted goal by Maddie Love in the 59th minute. Northwest goalkeeper Alexis Serna-Castillo had five saves on the night and UNK goalkeeper Allie Prososki had four.

The Lopers are now 5-6 overall and 3-1 in the MIAA. Northwest falls to 1-9 and 0-4 in the MIAA. 

The Bearcats will head to Hays, Kan. to play Fort Hays State Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
