Eighth inning rally leads to senior day win

Story Headlines
- The Northwest Missouri State University baseball team scored three runs in the eighth inning to beat Fort Hays State, 5-2, on Saturday at Bearcat Field in Maryville, Mo.
- The win moves Northwest to 30-18 overall and 18-16 in MIAA play. Fort Hays drops to 10-38 overall and 3-32 in conference action.
- Aaron Barratt went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs. He scored twice and also stole a base.
- Prior to the game, Northwest honored the nine members of this year's senior class.

Key Northwest Statistics
- Northwest scored two in the third and three in the eighth. The Tigers scored once in the fifth and once in the seventh.
- The Bearcats had five runs on 12 hits with no errors. Fort Hays State scored two runs on five hits with two errors.
- Ozzie Adams was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a run scored.
- James Holler drove in a run, going 2-for-4 with a stolen base.
- Kolby Greenslade went 2-for-4 with a run scored.
- Logan Rycraft went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a sacrifice bunt.

- Austin Battaglia got the win, pitching a scoreless eighth. He allowed just one walk while facing just four Tigers.
- Nikko Pablo picked up his ninth save of the year, setting Fort Hays down in order in the ninth with one strikeout.

Key Northwest Innings
- In the third, Barratt started the frame with a single to center and went to second on a Rycraft sacrifice bunt. After an out, Adams reached on an error by the third baseman to put runners on the corners. Figg hit an RBI single to right, driving in Barratt from third. Holler drove in Adams in the next at bat with an RBI single to right.

- With two down in the eighth, Greenslade took the first pitch he saw to center for a single. Hrdlicka followed it up with a single to right to put runners on the corners. Hrdlicka stole second and Barratt came through with a two-RBI single to right to put Northwest up, 4-2. Barratt stole second and went to third as the the throw went into center field. Rycraft followed it up with an RBI single to right, driving in Barratt for the Bearcat's fifth run.
