- In the third, Barratt started the frame with a single to center and went to second on a Rycraft sacrifice bunt. After an out, Adams reached on an error by the third baseman to put runners on the corners. Figg hit an RBI single to right, driving in Barratt from third. Holler drove in Adams in the next at bat with an RBI single to right.
- With two down in the eighth, Greenslade took the first pitch he saw to center for a single. Hrdlicka followed it up with a single to right to put runners on the corners. Hrdlicka stole second and Barratt came through with a two-RBI single to right to put Northwest up, 4-2. Barratt stole second and went to third as the the throw went into center field. Rycraft followed it up with an RBI single to right, driving in Barratt for the Bearcat's fifth run.
