Game One Key Innings
- The Bearcats got a two-out rally in the third to take an early lead. Moses and Bythe hit back-to-back infield singles. Weis got down 0-2 and fouled off three straight pitches before hitting an RBI single up the middle to drive in Moses. Maher kept the streak going with a single of her own to center, allowing Blythe to score to make it 2-0 Northwest.
- Allen hit her fourth home run of the year and her second in as many games with two down in the fourth inning. The solo shot put Northwest up, 3-1.
Game Two Key Statistics (Emporia State 5, Northwest 1)
- The Bearcats scored once in the fourth. Emporia State scored all five runs in the fifth.
- Northwest had one run on five hits. The Hornets had five runs on seven hits. Neither team had an error.

Game Two Key Innings
- Weis fouled off four straight pitches before driving a double to the wall in right center to lead off the fourth. Maher caught the defense off guard by laying down a bunt single to the first base line to put runners on the corners. Adams hit a sacrifice fly to deep left, allowing Weis to score the first run of the game.
- Posegate set the Hornets down in order in the third and fourth innings, retiring eight straight batters. Blackford worked a three-up and three-down inning in the sixth.
