- Fort and Adams started the third by getting hit by back-to-back pitches. After Herrera moved both runners up with a sacrifice bunt, Fort game around to score the game's first run after Holler reached on an error by the shortstop.
- In the fourth, Hrdlicka drew a one-out walk and Rycraft was hit by a pitch to put two on. Fort then singled to left to score Hrdlicka to give Northwest a 2-0 lead.
