Baseball falls to Truman State, 6-2

- The Bearcats fall to 6-1 on the year while the Bulldogs improved to 1-1.
- The neutral site game was played on the campus of Henderson State University.
- James Holler went 2-for-4 on the day, driving in both Bearcat runs.
- Prior to today's game, Northwest had tied a program record for the best start in Bearcat history with a 6-0 start, tying the mark set in 1964 and 1973.

- Northwest scored two runs on three hits with one error. Truman State had six runs on nine hits with no errors.
- The Bearcats scored single runs in the fourth and sixth innings. The Bulldogs scored three in the first, two in the sixth and one in the seventh.
- Ozzie Adams went 1-for-4 with a run scored.
- Landon Figg drew a walk in the sixth and came around the score Northwest's second run.

- With one down in the fourth, Adams doubled down the right field line and went to third on a Figg groundout. With two down, Holler singled to drive in Adams to cut the Truman State lead to 3-1.

- Figg drew a two out walk in the sixth inning and went to second ona balk. Holler hit a double to right center to drive in Figg, making it 5-3, which forced a Bulldog pitching change.
