- The Bearcats won the first set 25-21 but fell in the second, 25-23. Northwest came back in the third, winning 25-22. But Lindenwood took the fourth set, 25-20, and pulled away in the fifth, 15-7.
- Northwest hit .193 for the match and had five service aces.

Key Northwest Sequence
- The first set featured runs by both teams. Northwest had a four-point run to take an early 8-3 lead. But Lindenwood respond later with a five-point run to tie the match, 10-10. Dannettell and Bruder responded with back-to-back kills to give Northwest the lead. A pair of Lion attacking errors pushed the lead to 14-10 before a Lindenwood timeout. The Bearcats did not trail for the rest of the set.
- The Lions looked to pull away in the third set as Haley Sigel put away a kill that made it 16-12 Lindenwood. But Northwest responded with a 5-0 run. After a Lion service error, Lindenwood was called for a bad set to make it 16-14. Ahrens had a service ace to make it 17-14. Sidney and Schleppenbach had back-to-back kills and a Lion attacking error made it 18-16 Northwest. The set would remain tight and the teams eventually battled to a 22-22 tie. A bad set from Lindenwood and Sundrman had a service ace to give the Bearcats set point. On the next play, the Lions hit into an attacking error, giving Northwest the set.
