Key Northwest Sequence
- The Bearcats used a 5-0 run late in the first set to jump out to an early lead on the Ichabods. Up 18-12, Bruder and Schleppenbach combined on a block to make it a seven-point contest, 19-12. After an attacking error, Bruder came up with a service ace to make it 21-12. Sunderman added a kill to the rally and a bad set by Washburn made it a 23-12 Bearcat lead. Four points later, Northwest would put away the set on a kill from Sidney.
- In the fourth, the Bearcats jumped out early, scoring nine of the set's first 11 points. Washburn had three-straight attacking errors to begin before getting a kill to make it 3-1. An Ichabod service error and an attacking error made it 5-1 Northwest and Sunderman's kill on the next point forced a Washburn timeout. The Ichabods got a point right back but Schleppenbach tallied a kill and Ahrens recorded back-to-back service aces to make it 9-2.
