- The Northwest Missouri State University volleyball team improved to 4-0 on the year with wins on Saturday against Maryville and Georgian Court in St. Charles, Mo.
- The Bearcats opened the day with a come from behind victory over Maryville College and swept Georgian Court in the afternoon session.
- This marks the second straight season that Northwest has opened the season with at least four straight wins.

Key Northwest Statistics
- Northwest fell behind early, dropping the first two sets, 25-19 and 25-21. But the Bearcats turned it around and swept the last three sets, 25-14, 25-18 and 15-7.
- After hitting negative in the first set and just .135 in the second, Northwest turned it on with a .387 third-set attack percentage to help turn the tide of the match.
- Bruder had a team-best 17 kills with 11 digs and two blocks.
- Dannettell had 49 assists with 15 digs, three kills and three blocks.

Miranda Foster had 11 kills for Northwest with four digs and three blocks.

Olivia Nowakowski had 12 digs with three assists and a service ace.

Jackie Becker had nine kills with three blocks and two digs.
- The Bearcats had 11.0 blocks while holding Maryville to just 6.0. The Saints hit just .097 in the fourth set and were -.231 in the fifth.
Key Northwest Sequences
- Down 3-2 early in the third set, Northwest rallied for six-straight points to take the lead for good. After a kill from freshman
Sydney Burton, Foster came up with a block to give the Bearcats a 4-3 lead.
Gaby da Silva and Burton added kills and a Maryville attack error prompted a Saints' timeout. Nowakowski completed the six-point run with a kill out of the break to put Northwest up, 8-3.
- In the fourth set, Northwest broke a 2-2 tie with another 6-0 run. After a kill from Foster and an attack error by Maryville, da Silva and Becker each recorded kills to put the Bearcats up, 6-2. Another Saints' attacking error gave Northwest a 7-2 lead and da Silva made it 8-2 with her second kill of the set to force a Maryville timeout.

Key Northwest Statistics
- The Bearcats won in straight sets by scores of 25-18, 25-20 and 25-18.
- Northwest had 13 team service aces which is the most in a three-set match since 2007 (vs. SBU 9/12/07).
- Bruder had a match-best 10 kills in the three-set victory. She hit .500 in the match with just one attacking error. She also had nine digs and three service aces.
- Foster had five kills and four service aces. She also contributed four digs and two blocks defensively.
- Dannettell had 17 assists and three digs. She split time with
Jordyn Musselman at setter who had 16 assists and 11 digs with two service aces.

Megan Stilmock had three service aces and three digs in the match.
Key Northwest Sequences
- The Bearcats came out firing in the first set, using a 7-0 run early in the match to take control. Up 5-3, Northwest got a ill from
Darcy Sunderman and Stilmock followed it up with a service ace. After a Lion attacking error, Bruder recorded a kill from Dannettell. Stilmock then served up her second ace forcing a timeout. Still on the service line, Stilmock dialed up her third service ace of the set to put Northwest up 11-4. The run was capped with block by Becker and Foster.
- With just a one-point lead in the third set, Northwest used an 8-0 run to help close out the match. Up 6-5, the Lions had a service error and then an attacking error to make it 8-5.
Alexis Williams recorded a kill and Musselman got a service ace to push the lead to 10-5. GCU committed back-to-back attacking errors to make it 12-5. Williams made it 13-5 with a kill from Foster and Musselman got her second service ace to give Northwest a nine-point lead at 14-5.
