- Northwest scored two runs in the fifth, two in the seventh and one in the ninth. The Bearcats finished with five runs on 10 hits with no errors.
- The Lions scored four runs on six hits with one errors. Missouri Southern scored three in the third and one in the fifth.

Key Northwest Innings
- With two down in the fifth, Hrdlicka drew a walk and Barratt hit a single up the middle to put two on. Greenslade got hit by the first pitch he saw to load the bases. On a 1-2 pitch, Gotta pulled a pitch to first that got through the infield for a two-RBI single, scoring Hrdlicka and Barratt to cut the Lions' lead to 2-1.
- Greenslade drew a one out walk in the seventh and moved to second on a bunt single by Gotta. After a pitching change, Northwest attempted to move the runners up but Greenslade was caught stealing at third. Fort came through with an RBI single to score Gotta from second to make it 4-3. Adams singled to left, moving Fort to third. But on the exchange back to the infield, the Lions mishandled the ball, allowing Fort to score the tying run.
- With two down in the ninth, Holler came up with an RBI single to right to drive in Fort who had reached on a fielder's choice to put Northwest up, 5-4.
