- The loss drops Northwest to 18-17 overall and 13-12 in MIAA play. The Griffons improved to 25-11 and 18-8 in conference action.

Key Northwest Statistics- The Bearcats scored two runs on seven hits with three errors. Northwest scored single runs in the first and fifth innings.
- The Griffons scored one in the first, three in the fourth and four in the sixth. Missouri Western finished with eight runs on 12 hits with no errors.

Key Northwest Innings- Gotta turned a lead off walk in the first into Northwest's first run. He moved to second on a Fort sacrifice bunt and one batter later, went to third on a strikeout/wild pitch to extend the inning.With two down,
Jake Lewis walked and Hrdlicka hit a single up the middle to score Gotta to tie the game, 1-1.
- Caenepeel struck out the side in the third inning, using just 11 pitches.
- With one out in the fifth, Greenslade singled and went to second on Gotta's second walk of the day. A wild pitch allowed both runners to move up with one down. Fort grounded out to second but the play allowed Greenslade to score from third to make it 4-2 Griffons.
- Pablo worked perfect seventh and eighth innings. He needed just eight pitches in the seventh with two strikeouts and put Missouri Western down in order in the eighth on just seven pitches.
Up Next- Northwest will host Southwest Baptist in a three-game series at home starting on Friday, April 15, at 3 p.m. Saturday's game is scheduled for 2 p.m. and Sunday's finale will be at 1 p.m.
