Sarah Baldwin's perfect game helped the Northwest Missouri State softball team sweep Northeastern State Saturday afternoon in Maryville.
- The Bearcats scored a pair of unearned runs in game one, holding on to defeat the RiverHawks, 3-2.
- Northwest piled on the runs late in game two, scoring four in the fifth inning to seal the 8-0 victory.
- The Bearcats are now 13-3 overall and 3-1 in the conference, while the RiverHawks fall to 12-11 this season and 0-4 against MIAA foes.
- Baldwin recorded the 16th no-hitter in Northwest history, and the first since 2010 (Jenna Creger vs. Oklahoma Panhandle State, 1/20/10).

Game One Key Statistics (Northwest won, 3-2)-
Kendle Schieber (6-2) turned in her seventh complete game of the season, striking out three while surrendering just one earned run over seven innings of action. The senior allowed eight RiverHawks to reach base, allowing five hits and walking three. Schieber doubled and scored a run on offense.

Torri Blythe singled in every trip to the plate, driving in all three Bearcat runs.
- Sophomore
Jessica Rawie scored twice, finishing 1-for-2 with a double.

Chantel Adams finished 1-for-3 with a single.
Game One Key Innings- Adams opened the second inning with a single past the diving third baseman. Walks to Rawie and Schieber loaded the bases, and with two outs Blythe drove home a pair when she sent a sharp grounder back up the middle right under the pitcher's mitt.
- After the RiverHawks clawed within one in the top of the fourth, Rawie doubled off the fence in right center to open the bottom portion of the inning. The catcher advanced to third on Schieber's double to shallow right center and came in to score when Blythe beat out a single to the third baseman.
- With the tying run on second,
Alexis Kelsey tracked down a foul pop up in stride before stabbing the game-ending groundout.

Game Two Key Statistics (Northwest won, 8-0, five innings)-
Sarah Baldwin retired all 15 RiverHawks that came to the plate, striking out five. The senior allowed just one ball to reach the outfield,inducing eight ground ball outs and one pop up to second base.
- All nine Bearcats reached base in the contest, with seven different Northwest players scoring runs.

Kiana Baderdeen drove in a pair of runs, finishing 2-for-3.

Kendle Schieber walked twice, scoring both times.

Torri Blythe finished 1-for-2 with 2 RBIs and a run scored.
- Freshman
Jaedra Moses finished 1-for-2 and stole a base.
Game Two Key Innings- Schieber drew a leadoff walk in the third and advanced to second on a passed ball. After reaching third on a groundout, the senior crossed the plate when Blythe singled to center. Moses followed with a single of her own before
Alexis Kelsey reached on an error, allowing Blythe to score unearned.
- The Bearcats added two more in the fourth inning when
Madison Jones and Schieber drew back-to-back walks. Baderdeen drove in Jones when her line drive deflected off the pitcher's glove and caromed into right field. Schieber came in to score in the next at bat when Blythe grounded out to first.
- Northwest doubled its run total in the fifth inning, expanding its lead to 8-0 to end the game via the eight-run rule. Kelsey led off with a sharp single to third before
Rebecca Maher singled to right center.
Chantel Adams and
Jessica Rawie clubbed consecutive RBI singles to left before Jones lifted a sacrifice fly to center. Baderdeen ended the contest with a single up the middle, plating Rawie.
