Key Northwest Innings- The Bearcats batted around in the first innings, plating six runs. Fort led off with a single to center and Adams reached on an error by the third baseman. Gotta reached on a fielder's choice but moved to second on an error by the pitcher, allowing Fort to score. Hrdlicka drew a walk to load the bases and Howard singled to left, driving in Adams. Lewis was hit by a pitch to force in Gotta from third to make it 3-0. With the bases still loaded, Meyer doubled to center, scoring Howard and Hrdlicka. After a pitching change, Barratt hit a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Lewis to make it 6-0.
- Northwest added four more in the fourth. Greenslade led off with a double and scored on a Fort triple down the right field line. Adams singled to drive in Fort, making it 8-0. Gotta reached on a fielder's choice and went to second after stealing a bag. Hrdlicka singled to center, moving runners to the corners, prompting another pitching change. Lewis grounded into a fielders' choice, moving Hrdlicka up to third base. Meyer came through with two-out RBI single to short, driving in Hrdlicka, making it 10-0.
