Key Northwest Sequences
- Tied 6-6 in the first set, Northwest went on a 6-0 run to pull ahead. Foster started the run with a kill and Missouri Western committed an attack error to make it 8-6. Dannettell and Williams combined on a block to make it 9-6. Another Griffon attack error combined with a Williams kill made it 11-6, forcing a Missouri Western timeout. Out of the break, Williams put away another kill to complete the six-point run.
- The Bearcats got off to a quick 4-0 start in the second set. Williams and Foster combined for a block to start the set. Williams then recorded back-to-back kills to make it 3-0. On the next point, Williams combined with Sunderman for a block to put Northwest up 4-0. The Bearcats would not trail the rest of the set, leading to a 25-20 set win.
- A 9-0Â Bearcat run in the third broke a 3-3 tie to put Northwest in the lead early, 12-3. Bruder recorded a kill and then Missouri Western was forced into an attacking error to make it 5-3. Sunderman put away a kill and Nowakowski followed it up with an ace for a 7-3 advantage. Bruder and Foster put away back-to-back kills making it 9-3, forcing a Griffon timeout. After a bad set from Missouri Western, Nowakowski recorded another ace and Sunderman notched another kill to make it 12-3 Bearcats.

- The Bearcats will head to St. Charles, Mo., to face Lindenwood at 7 p.m., before traveling to Warrensburg on Saturday to take on Central Missouri.
