Key Northwest Sequences
- Northwest got off to a great start to set the tone for the entire match. Bruder hit back-to-back kills to even the first set, 2-2, and the Bearcats never looked back. five straight Missouri Southern errors, highlighted by blocks from Williams, Dannettell and Bruder, the Lions were forced into an early timeout, trailing 7-2. Foster added a kill out of the break to gie Northwest an 8-2 advantage.
- With the match tied, 21-21 in the third, MSSU gave the Bearcats a free point on a service error to make it 22-21 Northwest. Becker would add a kill on the next point to make it 23-21. After a Lion kill, Missouri Southern would make another service error to force match point, 24-22. The Bearcats would force MSSU into the team's 10th attacking error of the set to take the point and the match, 25-22.
