Northwest Key Sequences- After forcing a missed field goal on UNK's first posession, Northwest marched 80 yards in 16 plays to open the game's scoring. Bolles capped the drive with a two-yard quarterback sneak. Simon Mathieson converted the PAT for a 7-0 lead with 5:33 left in the first half.
- Three plays into the Lopers' second drive of the game, defensive end
Collin Bevins got loose in the backfield and completed a strip and recovery to give Northwest the ball on the UNK 33 yardline.
- Northwest would score eight plays later as
Phil Jackson II ran it in from two yards out. After the PAT, the Bearcats led 14-0 with 1:02 left in the first quarter.
- With the Lopers driving midway through the third quarter, quarterback Bronson Marsh fumbled at the Northwest 45.
Brock Sherman came out of the pile with the ball, giving the Bearcats posession at the Northwest 40 yard line.
- On the ensuing drive, the Bearcats again turned a Loper turnover into points as Northwest drove 60 yards in five plays to go up 21-0. Bolles was able to find
George Sehl in single coverage for a 34 yard touchdown completion.
- Northwest forced a Loper punt on the next posession and promptly moved the ball down the field, helped by a 15 yard facemask penalty on UNK. The Bearcats moved all the way down to the four-yard line but settled for a 21-yard field goal from Mathiesen to go up, 24-0, with 14:09 left in the game.

Edward Richey came in unblocked on a UNK punt attempt midway through the fourth quarter for the first Northwest special teams block of the year. The Bearcats recovered the ball on the UNK 37 yard line.
- Late in the fourth quarter,
Kyle Zimmerman capped a five-play, 37 yard drive with a 15 yard touchdown run. It was his third career touchdown at Northwest.
Northwest Key Statistics- Bolles now has 11 games in his career where he has run and passed for a touchdown in a game. He did it five times in 2014, four times in 2013 and once in 2012.Â
- Bolles finished the game by completing 20-of-32 passes for 211 yards and a score. It was the eighth time in his career he has had over 200 yards passing. He also had 15 yards rushing on 12 carries.

Shawn Bane Jr. had 92 total yards in his Bearcat debut. Bane Jr. caught a game-high six passes for 78 yards and had one rush for 14 yards.
- Northwest is now 9-3 all time against the Lopers and have won four-straight against UNK.
- Dorrel is now 5-0 in season openers. He also moves his all time road record to 20-5 overall. He is 36-5 all-time in MIAA games.
- The announced attendance of 7,853 was the fifth highest attended game in UNK history.
- The last Northwest shutout came back on Nov. 17, 2012, against Harding in the NCAA playoffs.
- Sehl caught three passes for 54 yards and a score. Freshman
Laderrick Smith caught three passes for 19 yards.
- Jackson led the Bearcats with 54 rushing yards and a touchdown. He had 10 carries and averaged 5.4 yards per carry.
- The Northwest defense had seven sacks of quarterback Bronson Marsh.
- Nebraska-Kearney linebacker Tyke Kozeal had a game-high 16 tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss and a pair of sacks.

Story at the Half- Northwest scored twice in the first quarter while holding Nebraska-Kearney scoreless to go into the break up, 14-0. The Lopers gained just 20 yards on the ground and were 0-for-4 on third down conversions.
Brady Bolles had 126 yards passing at the break. Nebraska-Kearney did hold Northwest scoreless for the entire second quarter.
