Story Headlines- The Northwest Missouri State softball team won its first postseason game in three years after defeating Missouri Western in the first round of the MIAA Tournament Thursday afternoon in Overland Park, Kan.
- The Bearcats rallied off 15 hits to knock off the Griffons, 8-1.
- Northwest fell to #23 Central Missouri in round two, 4-1. The Bearcats outhit the Jennies, 8-4, but left seven runners on base in the loss.

Kendle Schieber carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning for the Bearcats, ultimately earning her 11th victory of the season. The junior struck out nine Griffon batters, her seventh straight game with seven or more strikeouts.

Baylee Scarbrough crushed her second home run of the season and scored two runs.

Torri Blythe scored two runs after collecting four singles, her first four hit performance this season.

Rebecca Maher drove in three runs and finished 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles.

Abigail Gilson reached on a pair of singles back up the middle, scoring one run and driving in another.

Jessica Rawie finished 2-for-4 and scored a run.
Round One Key Innings- The Bearcats jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first inning when
Torri Blythe led off with a single through the hole at second. The second baseman moved to second on
Cassidy Lee's sacrifice bunt and headed for third when
Rebecca Maher singled to center. During the next at bat, Maher took off for second base, forcing a throwing error by the catcher that allowed Blythe to score easily.

Baylee Scarbrough led off the fourth with a single up the middle and moved to second when
Kendle Schieber beat out the throw after a bunt to the pitcher. Scarbrough just beat the tag at the plate after
Abigail Gilson sent a single back up the middle. After singles from Blythe and Lee loaded the bases, Maher drew a walk to drive in Gilson.
- Scarbrough crushed a 1-0 pitch over the wall in left center to put Northwest ahead 4-0 in the fifth.
- Blythe led off the sixth with a ground ball single to center and came in to score after a pair of errors during Lee's next at bat. Lee crossed the plate when Maher crushed a double to left center.
Chantel Adams' sacrifice fly knocked in Maher and gave the Bearcats a 7-0 lead.
- Northwest added an insurance run in the seventh after
Jessica Rawie and Blythe singled and Lee drew a walk to load the bases. Maher lifted a fly ball to right field that was deep enough to score Rawie.

Kendle Schieber started her second game of the day, completing 5.1 innings and giving up two earned runs while striking out five Jennies. The junior gave up just four hits for the second straight game.

Sarah Baldwin recorded the final two outs, one of which was a strikeout.

Stephanie Mark was 2-for-3 in the game and scored the only Bearcat run.

Baylee Scarbrough had her second strong game at the plate, finishing 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI.

Torri Blythe legged out her fourth triple of the year in her final at bat. The sophomore is the only Bearcat with multiple triples this season.

Jessica Rawie drove her team-leading 12th double of the season in her second at bat.

Round Two Key Innings- After the Jennies took a 2-0 lead in the third inning, the Bearcats cut the deficit in half in the fourth after
Stephanie Mark deposited a one-out single to right center. The first baseman came around to score when
Baylee Scarbrough sent a double off the top of the fence in left center.
