Key Northwest Statistics- Northwest scored six runs on nine hits and committed two errors. The Bearcats got single runs in the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and seventh innings.
- Lindenwood had two runs on six hits and committed five errors. The Lions got both runs in the second inning.

Paul Johnson went 2-for-3 with three runs scored. He also stole his sixth base of the season.

Steven Garber was 2-for-4. He hit his third homerun of the season in the third inning.

Kevin Handzlik was 2-for-3 on the day with a double.

Garrett Fort was 1-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base.

Kolby Greenslade was 1-for-3 with two RBI and a double. He also drew a walk.

Key Northwest Innings- With two outs, Johnson reached on an error by the Lindenwood shortstop and moved to second on a Garber single that landed in no-man's land behind second base. Wulff and Greenslade drew back-to-back walks to score Johnson from third, giving Northwest a 1-0 lead.

- In the bottom of the second, Handzlik doubled but was thrown out at third on at fielder's choice by Fort. Fort proceeded to steal second and the throw from the catcher was off target, allowing Fort to take third. But the center fielder backing up the play misplayed the bounce and Fort was able to score to tie the game, 2-2.

- With one out in the third, Garber lifted his third homerun of the series to deep left center, giving Northwest a 3-2 advantage.

- In the fourth, Fort again reached on a fielder's choice and moved to second on a passed ball. With two outs, Gotta found the hole between short and third for a single, driving in Fort to give Northwest a 4-2 lead.

- Johnson led off the fifth with a double down the left field line. Garber hit a grounder to short but the shortstop overthrew the first baseman and the ball went into the Lion dugout, moving Garber to second and scoring Johnson.

- In the seventh, Johnson led off with an infield single to first and stole second base in the next at bat. With two outs, Greenslade roped a double down the left field line to score Johnson from second.

Up Next- The Bearcats and the Lions will play a doubleheader tomorrow starting at noon. Both games will be seven-inning contests. Northwest will also be hosting Military Day. The Missouri National Guard will have free hot dogs, hamburgers and t-shirts while supplies last. The team will wear camo uniforms and military equipment will be at the game.
