Baseball drops series finale with Central Missouri

- After Central Missouri took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, the Bearcats leveled the score in the third when Garrett Fort opened things up with a one-out single to right. Nick Gotta followed him with an infield single and Austin Wulff loaded the bases on a single to left. Fort and Gotta came around to score when Nick Howard reached on a fielder's choice.
- Facing a 14-2 deficit in the seventh, the Bearcats began clawing back when Fort clubbed a double to right center. He came around to score when Wulff reached on an error. Howard followed with an RBI single to center, closing the gap to 14-4.

- The Bearcats will make their home opener next weekend when Nebraska Kearney heads to Maryville for a four game conference series. The teams will match up on Friday, March 13 at 2 p.m. for one game, followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, March 14 and the series finale on Sunday, March 15.
