Key Northwest Sequence- Northwest jumped out to an early lead in the first set on the Lopers. After an early 3-3 tie, the Bearcats went on a 5-0 run to force a Nebraska-Kearney timeout. Becker came up with a kill from Dannettell to make it 4-3 and a
Shelby Duren service ace made it 5-3. Becker added another kill to make it 6-3. On the next point, Becker and Dannettell combined for a block to put Northwest up 7-3. After a Loper attacking error, making it 8-3, Nebraska-Kearney called a timeout.
