- Pittsburg State falls to 4-3 on the year with the loss. It was the first regular season game between the two schools in Pittsburg, Kan., since 2001.
- Northwest now holds a 25-24 lead in the all-time series against the Gorillas.
- The Bearcats held a 28-7 lead at halftime and forced five Pitt State turnovers in the game. Defensive back
Kevin Berg had two interceptions.

Jacob Vollstedt had a team-high 11 tackles with two sacks and a forced fumble that was recovered by
Brandon Yost for a touchdown.
- The Gorillas were held to just 175 total yards and just 80 on the ground.

George Sehl had a pair of first half touchdown receptions to help put Northwest in front early.
Northwest Scoring Sequence- After forcing a Pitt State punt on the opening drive, Northwest marched down the field in six plays, ending on a three yard pass from
Brady Bolles to
George Sehl for a touchdown. (6-48yds; 2:36; 7-0)
- Bolles connected on his second touchdown pass of the first half, finding
Clayton Wilson from five yards out to cap a 15 play, 65 yard drive to start the second quarter. (15-65yds; 7:32; 14-7)
- Vollstedt had a strip sack on the Pitt State two yard line that was recovered by Yost for a touchdown midway through the second quarter. It was Yost's first career touchdown as a Bearcat. (2-(-9)yds; 0:48; 21-7)
- Sehl found the end zone for a second time as
Randy Schmidt took an end around and connected on a 68 yard pass completion to make it 28-7 Northwest. It was Schmidt's second career touchdown pass. (2-75yds; 0:46; 28-7).

Simon Mathiesen hit a 32 yard field goal attempt to put Northwest on the board in the fourth quarter. The score was set up by a 27 yard quarterback keeper by
Kyle Zimmerman earlier in the drive. (6-28yds; 2:17; 31-14)
Key Northwest Statistics- Quarterback Bolles passed for 148 yards and two touchdowns, completing 15-of-30 attempts.

Shane Williams, Shawn Bane and Wilson all hauled in a game-high four receptions. Sehl had a game-best 87 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
- Zimmerman carried the ball seven times for 51 yards.
Cameron Wilcox and Bolles each had a team-high 10 carries.
Phil Jackson II had 37 yards rushing on eight carries.
- Along with Vollstedt,
Tristan Patterson recorded the other Northwest sack. He had three total tackles on the day.

Brock Sherman recorded 10 tackles for Northwest with a pair of tackles behind the line of scrimage.
- Along with Berg's two interceptions, Eddie Richey and Vollstedt each recorded picks for Northwest defensively.
- Defensive lineman
Collin Bevins had five tackles on the day, three coming in the Gorilla backfield.

Bryce Enyard and Berg each finished with six tackles in the Bearcat secondary.
- The Bearcat defense held PSU to just 6-of-15 on third down converstions on the day.
