Football gameday fan information

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Bearcat fans, in advance of Saturday's football game against Central Missouri, the Northwest Missouri State University department of athletics would like to inform our fans of some changes and enhancements made to the gameday experience at Bearcat Stadium.

Red Hat Tribute
As part of family weekend, the Northwest Missouri State Department of Athletics would like to encourage fans in attendance to wear their red Northwest hats in rememberance of former Bearcat head coach Scott Bostwick.

Saturday's game is also part of Family Weekend at. Find out all the activities going on throughout the weekend on the Northwest campus.

Hy-Vee Tailgate of the Game
Bearcat fans are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy tailgating festivities in the Hy-Vee Bearcat Zone just west of Bearcat Stadium. Each week one tailgate party will be selected as the Hy-Vee Tailgate of the Game and will receive a prize package compliments of your Maryville Hy-Vee. The rules are simple; each tailgate must have at least 3 Hy-Vee brand items in their tailgating essentials and they must be showing their Bearcat Pride. Fans are encouraged to look for Northwest Athletic Director Mel Tjeerdsma and Maryville Hy-Vee Store Manager Chris Wiltfong each week in the Hy-Vee Bearcat Zone. KZLX X-106 Tailgate
Bearcat Athletics and KZLX X-106 have partnered together for the 2014 season to enhance the Northwest student tailgating area. Northwest students are encouraged to attend the Hy-Vee Bearcat Zone and the X106 broadcast area. Each week the Sports Team from X106 will host a Game Day program featuring live interviews, game analysis and updates, along with plenty of music to keep the tailgate rolling. Saturday's crowd projects to be one of the largest support sections in program history. All reserved tickets for Saturday's game have been sold out. Standing room only tickets can be purchased here. Students wishing to attend the game can find ticket information here.

Parking Information
On Saturday, fans traveling to the game are encouraged to travel to campus on Icon/Country Club road, west of campus. The closure of fourth street will limit traffic going from main street to campus.

Fan Selfies

With the addition of the new video board at Bearcat Stadium; fans are encouraged to submit their Game Day selflies via social media for a chance to have their pictures featured on the video board during each home game. Bearcat fans can submit their photos using the hashtags; #oabaab; #BearcatNation or #BearcatFamily and can be directed to the Bearcat Athletics social media accounts using the handle @bearcatsports for Twitter and Instagram or on Facebook.

Bearcat Volleyball
Following Saturday's game, fans are encouraged to remain on campus for the 6 p.m. Northwest volleyball game against Emporia State inside Bearcat Arena. Admission to Saturday's match is free. Visit the volleyball schedule page for all dates and times.
