Key Sequence- With the Bulldogs leading 45-38 early in the second half,
Taylor Shull hit a layup followed by a missed shot by Duluth. Shull hit another layup on the next possession, followed by a steal by
Maggie Marnin.
Ariel Easton hit a layup in transition after a pass from Shull to close the gap to 45-44.
Alexandria Blaurock gave Northwest their first lead of the second half the next time down the floor with a layup.
Samantha Hurst came down with a defensive rebound on the other end, followed by a quick foul. She hit both free throws to give the Bearcats a 48-45 lead, completing their 10-point run. The Bulldogs battled back and fought off the Northwest surge to run away with the victory.
Up Next- The Bearcats will host Saint Mary (Kan.) on Tuesday in Bearcat Arena. The game will begin at 5:30 p.m. and is followed by a men's game against Drury.
