MARYVILLE, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State jumped out to a 14-0 lead and held Cameron to 31 percent shooting in a 75-52 win Saturday at Bearcat Arena. Bearcat forward Elijah Allen led all scorers with 23 points.

The Bearcats hit four three-pointers during their opening run including two by Girod Adams, who finished with 10 points. Edriss Floyd had another and was 4-for-7 from behind the arc accounting for all of his 12 points.

The Aggies (9-4) cut the lead to 20-15 with seven minutes left in the first half, but a 3 by Floyd and two free throws by Adams quickly put the lead back to 10. The Bearcats led 38-22 at halftime and led by no fewer than 13 points the rest of the way.

Milton Garner had 18 points to lead Cameron and was the only Aggie to score in double figures. Cameron was 18-of-58 from the field and 6-of-26 from 3-point range.

DeShaun Cooper made it four Northwest players scoring in double digits with 10 points. He also handed out six assists. It was the second straight win for the Bearcats (7-5), who return to MIAA play Wednesday at Missouri Western.
