MARYVILLE, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State got season highs in scoring from Edriss Floyd and Shawn Carter, but dropped a two-point decision to Nebraska-Omaha Wednesday night inside Bearcat Arena. Michael Jenkins scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Mavericks to an 82-80 win.

It''s the third loss in a row for the Bearcats (9-12, 4-10 MIAA), equaling the team''s longest losing streak of the season. The Mavericks (14-6, 8-5) picked up their second road win since the final day of 2008.

Neither team led by more than seven points in a game that featured 10 lead changes - eight in the second half. The dagger was a three-pointer by Mitch Albers that broke a 76-76 tie with 1:18 remaining. The final six points of the contest were scored at the free-throw line, including 2-of-2 from Jenkins to make it 82-78 with nine seconds remaining.

Jenkins scored 15 points in each half and finished 9-of-15 from the field. He hit four of the Mavericks'' 11 three-pointers and was 8-of-9 from the line.

Floyd hit four treys for the Bearcats and finished with 16 points. Carter made 7-of-9 shots and had 15. Northwest forward Hunter Henry had 12 points and 12 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the season. He also handed out five assists.
