MARYVILLE, Mo.-Girod Adams scored a career-high 24 points to lead Northwest Missouri State to a 104-67 rout over Graceland Saturday night inside Bearcat Arena. Adams would lead five Bearcats who scored in double figures in the win.

Jake Petersen had a career-high 17 points on 4-of-5 from three-point land. Elijah Allen and Arunas Simanavicius added 13 and 10 points respectively. Both Allen and Simanavicius had seven rebounds as well. DeShaun Cooper dished out a team-high six assists to go along with 15 points. Clint Hamilton had five points and eight rebounds.

The Bearcats shot a blistering 64 percent in the first half and forced 15 Graceland turnovers. Northwest scored the first 13 points of the game and jumped out to a 23-4 lead with just under 14 minutes to go in the opening half.

Northwest shot 53 percent for the game and hit 12 three-pointers while shooting a season-high 48 percent from beyond the arc. Northwest would also score 29 points off of 24 Graceland turnovers in the contest. The Bearcats would also get 48 points from their bench and 30 points in the paint.

Northwest (4-0) will host Emporia State on December 2 at 7:30 p.m. inside Bearcat Arena in the MIAA season opener for both squads. Head Coach Ben McCollum was an assistant at Emporia for four season before coming to Northwest.
