MARYVILLE, Mo.-Edriss Floyd''s career-high 20 points led five Northwest Missouri State players in double figures as the Bearcats defeated Manhattan Christian 105-55 Monday at Bearcat Arena.

It was the first triple-digit scoring game for Northwest since December of 2006. It was also the first win for Ben McCollum, who made his coaching debut on the Bearcat bench.

Floyd and teammate Elijah Allen combined for 19 points during a 28-5 Bearcat run to close the final 10 minutes of the first half. The Crusaders had kept pace with Northwest up until that point and trailed 23-19 when the run began. The Bearcats led 51-24 at the break.

Freshman DeShaun Cooper scored 18 points and handed out nine assists off the bench in his Northwest debut. He also had a game-high six rebounds and was credited with four steals. The Bearcats had 21 steals in the contest and scored 35 points off 28 Manhattan Christian turnovers.

Northwest guard Girod Adams scored nine of his 13 points in the first half and center Maciej Ustarbowski was 5-for-5 from the field in reaching 10. The Bearcats shot 54 percent from the field and made 10 three-pointers. Floyd had four of those.

Crusader forward Mike Williams led all scorers with 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting. Jordan Strom added 13 points for Manhattan Christian, who counted Monday''s contest as an exhibition game. The Crusaders are 2-3 on the season.
