West Florida, coming off an appearance in the Division II national championship game in 2017, is No. 1 in the College Football America 2018 Yearbook Division II preseason Top 30.

The Argonauts, in just their second year as a varsity program, reached the national title game before losing to Texas A&M-Commerce. Two UWF players are on the CFA Preseason Starting Lineup — offensive lineman Samuel Antoine and defensive back Marvin Conley.

The Indiana (PA) Crimson Hawks are No. 2, followed by No. 3 Harding, No. 4 Minnesota State and No. 5 Texas A&M-Commerce, the defending Division II champions.

Rounding out the Top 10 are No. 6 Central Washington, No. 7 Fort Hays State, No. 8 Ferris State, No. 9 Northwest Missouri State and No. 10 Ashland.

CSU-Pueblo leads the next group of teams in the rankings at No. 11, followed by No. 12 West Alabama, No. 13 Midwestern State, No. 14 Assumption, No. 15 Indianapolis, No. 16 Shepherd, No. 17 Ouachita Baptist, No. 18 Winona State, No. 19 Virginia State and No. 20 Shippensburg.

Rounding out the Top 30 are No. 21 Findlay, No. 22 Delta State, No. 23 Central Missouri, No. 24 Wingate, No. 25 West Georgia, No. 26 Sioux Falls, No. 27 Bowie State, No. 28 Grand Valley State, No. 29 West Chester and No. 30 California (PA).
