Game nine fan primer: Pittsburg State

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Bearcat fans, in advance of Saturday's Homecoming football game against Pittsburg State, the Northwest Missouri State University department of athletics would like to encourage fans to enjoy the game day experience at Bearcat Stadium.

Saturday begins at 9 a.m. with the Homecoming Parade on College Avenue. Bearcat Zone and tailgate lots will open up immediately after the parade concludes. Fans can find more information about Homecoming by visiting the University's Website.	2016 M-Club Hall of Fame Inductees This Saturday's game will also recognize the six individual members and two Bearcat teams being inducted into the M-Club Hall of Fame. The Class of 2016's individual inductees includes Myles Burnsides (football), Chad Thompson (football), Hunter Henry (men's basketball), Pam Cummings (women's basketball), Shelley Lewis (softball) and Julie Caputo (women's tennis). The 2009 football team and the 1996 men's tennis team have also been officially selected for induction.
Hy-Vee Tailgate of the Game Bearcat fans are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy tailgating festivities in the Hy-Vee Bearcat Zone just west of Bearcat Stadium. Each week one tailgate party will be selected as the Hy-Vee Tailgate of the Game and will receive a prize package compliments of your Maryville Hy-Vee. The rules are simple; each tailgate must have at least three (3) Hy-Vee brand items in their tailgating essentials and they must be showing their Bearcat Pride. Fans are encouraged to look for Northwest Athletic Director Mel Tjeerdsma and Maryville Hy-Vee Store Manager Travis Buysse each week in the Hy-Vee Bearcat Zone. Parking and Tailgating Information On Saturday, fans should be aware of the Homecoming Parade, taking place on College Ave. starting at 9 a.m. The west side of campus will not be accessible to enter tailgate lots, which will open immediately following the Homecoming parade. Fans traveling to the game after the parade are encouraged to travel to campus on Icon/Country Club road, west of campus. Fans are encouraged to review the Northwest tailgating and stadium policies.
