MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State University volleyball and soccer teams will be participating in their annual pink events during this Friday's home events to help raise breast cancer awareness. Bearcat soccer begins the day with a 3 p.m. match against Southwest Baptist on Bearcat Pitch. The volleyball's pink event will take place later that evening at 7 p.m. against Pittsburg State in Bearcat Arena.

Each event will feature a silent auction with Bearcat soccer and volleyball items. Proceeds will go to benefit a local individual or family member battling breast cancer. Both teams will be wearing special edition jerseys in support of breast cancer awareness.

The volleyball will also take on Central Oklahoma in Bearcat Arena on Saturday at 3 p.m. Soccer concludes the weekend with a noon contest against Missouri Southern on Sunday at Bearcat Pitch.
